The Movement

Awaken. Guide. Reclaim.
Carry the fire differently.

Not Broken Just Burning is a fire-forged movement born from one person's journey through trauma toward transformation, then aimed beyond one life. Its mission is to help survivors and truth-seekers turn pain into usable power through emotional reflection, spiritual meaning-making, psychological curiosity, boundaries, voice, and deliberate rebuilding.

The Eye & The Flame

Witness. Clarity. Transformation.

The Eye represents the part of us that learns to see without looking away: memory, accountability, discernment, and the willingness to question appearances.

The Flame represents transformation. Not destruction for its own sake, but heat that exposes, purifies, and changes what can no longer remain the same.

The Triangle gives the fire structure. It represents discipline, direction, and a container strong enough to hold heat without becoming chaos.

Together, they mean something simple: see what is true, keep what is useful, burn away what is false, and build what comes next.

The Founding Mission

Turn pain into power without turning pain into identity.

The earliest public description of NBJB called it more than a company: a movement created to awaken, guide, and protect survivors. That remains the heart of the project, with one important clarification: protection here begins with helping people strengthen agency, boundaries, discernment, language, and access to appropriate real-world support.

“Pain into power” does not mean pretending pain was good or that suffering automatically makes someone wiser. It means refusing to let suffering have exclusive authorship over what comes next.

The movement's public work is built around stories, reflection tools, guided questions, journaling concepts, practical resources, and community-minded language that people can use wherever they are on the path.

Flamewalker

A name for the person doing the rebuilding.

A Flamewalker is not a rank, diagnosis, religion, or claim that somebody has everything figured out. It is simply the movement's name for a person willing to walk through the work instead of pretending the fire never happened.

Flamewalkers examine what hurt, identify what remains true, build boundaries that protect rather than imprison, and decide what kind of person they want to become next.

See clearly. Burn clean. Build deliberately.

The Guardian Code

Trust. Honor. Respect. Honesty. Loyalty.

These five values have been part of NBJB from the beginning. They are used as a filter for behavior, leadership, relationships, and community. They are standards for conduct, not demands for obedience.

T

Trust

Earn it through consistency. Do not demand it as a shortcut.

H

Honor

Act in a way you can still stand beside when the adrenaline is gone.

R

Respect

Protect dignity, including your own, especially during conflict.

H

Honesty

Tell the truth without using “truth” as permission for cruelty.

L

Loyalty

Be loyal to people without becoming disloyal to reality or yourself.

The Six Sacred Questions

Confusion hates a good investigation.

WhoWhatWhenWhereWhyHow

They are not mystical answers. They are disciplined questions. When emotion becomes fog, return to what can be named, placed, tested, and understood.

Founder

Rickey Partin Jr.

Not Broken Just Burning grew from lived experience, trauma recovery, fatherhood, pattern-mapping, journaling, spiritual meaning-making, and the stubborn refusal to let pain have the final authorship of a life.

The movement is not built around pretending one person has every answer. It is built around asking better questions, telling the truth more carefully, and creating tools that help people reclaim agency, purpose, and a spiritual identity that belongs to them rather than to what happened to them.

What NBJB can grow into

The original vision was bigger than a website.

From the beginning, the vision included digital storytelling, guided journaling, workbooks, community spaces, in-person circles, retreats, and forms of spiritual exploration. Those ideas remain part of the project's history and possible future.

They are not all current services. NBJB will only present a program, session, event, sanctuary, retreat, or other offering as available when it actually exists, has clear scope, and can be responsibly delivered.

This leaves room for the movement to grow without asking the public to pretend the future has already arrived.

A movement, not a diagnosis

Use the language that helps. Keep your feet on the ground.

NBJB blends lived experience, reflective tools, symbolism, and personal-development frameworks. Concepts developed within the movement should be presented as survivor-originated ideas unless and until independent research establishes something more.
